Wait, what? Health and Wellness? On The Cheeseburger Effect?


You betcha! Let me explain...


We now live in a world where convenience has taken over. You can get pretty much anything you can imagine pre-packaged, processed and in a plastic bag. Whether it is your fruits, vegetables, chicken or protein powders, they all are processed one way or another. (Even the fresh stuff!)


As a result, many movements have come to light in the Fitness industry. Think Keto, Whole30, Paleo, etc. Now, I am not saying that these diets are worthless or do not work. In fact, they all work extremely well depending on the individual along with their wants and needs. However, I am saying that diets like these are difficult to adhere by and stick with for your entire life.


Don't you still want to enjoy a donut every now and then? Or how about ice cream, cakes, pizza, bacon, alcohol, and, my personal favorite, CHEESEBURGERS!


Food is meant to be eaten and enjoyed by all! And let's be honest here, those foods taste DAMN GOOD! There is no denying it and you are low-key crazy if you think otherwise...


So what does this have to do with The Cheeseburger Effect? Excellent question!


The Cheeseburger Effect is the personal philosophy I live by. (Yes, I created my own philosophical viewpoint based around ground up beef, fat, and cheese. Sue me!) It is a way of life and a damn good way to live if you ask me.


Basically, The Cheeseburger Effect is a way to look at your nutrition. No one got fat by eating one cheeseburger and no one lost all their fat by eating one salad. Life is about the long game, not the short-term results or fad diets that are taking over the market.


Think of it this way...


Option A: You can be miserable for 30 days and lose 15 lbs. of fat on a gimmick diet. However, the odds are you will gain all of that fat and MORE back just as quickly as you lost it.


So, maybe you started at 200 lbs., lost the 15 lbs. in 30 days and weighed 185 lbs. once you were done. Awesome! Then, you start eating how you used to and you gain back 5 lbs. in TWO DAYS! Motivation drops, you give up and gain the weight back and more. Maybe 20 lbs., so to end you are at 205 lbs. More than what you started...


Option B: You opt for an overall lifestyle change where you'll lose maybe a pound per week by cutting calories, eating proper portion sizes, cutting out soda and eating more veggies. However, you still allow yourself some treats here and there so you don't lose your sanity. So, in the 30 day timeframe you will lose 4-5 lbs.


Come the end of the 30 days, you still feel awesome and you lost 6 lbs.! More than you even planned! #Winning Along with this, you've actually enjoyed the changes you've made and don't feel like complete crap! You have higher energy, you're trying new recipes and you are absolutely killing it! Look at you go! The only way to go is up, and by up I mean seeing the scale drop even more over time!


So please tell me, which can you most identify with? I would guess Option A...yeah, I've been there too. The endless cycle of yo-yo dieting. Spinning in circles and never seeing real results.

There is no shame in wanting to lose fat. It is a natural human instinct to feel and look well, and losing fat helps with that a lot! Still love yourself and your body, but don't think for one second that you are shaming yourself for wanting to look and feel way better once you do lose fat! Not only will it improve your life, but it will enhance your overall health.
